Justin is a licensed attorney with over 13 years of experience and a deep commitment to advocating for veterans. A retired Major, he is a former Army Judge Advocate and served with distinction in the 101st Airborne Division and 10th Special Forces Group, 4th Infantry Division, and U.S. Army North, bringing a wealth of knowledge in military law and a unique perspective to his legal career. Justin is dedicated to delivering strategic legal counsel with integrity and a focus on client success.

Branden Nethken, J.D.
Branden is a licensed attorney with over 7 years of experience as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army. Branden also brings over a decade of service as an enlisted Soldier prior to becoming a lawyer. He has a passion for service to his country and has served with distinction in multiple combat deployments. His time with special operations includes the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, 75th Ranger Regiment, and 10th Special Forces Group. Branden’s wealth of experience as both an enlisted Soldier, as well as an experienced attorney, means that he understands and passionately advocates for his clients.

Chelsea Finnegan, J.D.
Chelsea is a licensed attorney with over 7 years of prior experience as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army. During her time in the military, Chelsea served in various legal positions in distinguished units such as the 101st Airborne Division, 3rd Special Forces Group, and XVIII Airborne Corps. As a military lawyer, Chelsea discovered her passion of helping Soldiers and assisting them with legal matters in their time of need. She is a zealous advocate that will fight for the best outcomes for her clients.

Laura Hernandez
Laura is a licensed attorney with over 10 years of experience in military and federal legal practice. A former Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army, she advised commanders on administrative law, military justice, and operational matters. After active duty, she continued advocating for clients in private practice, focusing on federal litigation, regulatory compliance, and government contracting.
Fluent in Spanish, Laura is a zealous advocate who believes deeply in due process and expanding access to legal services for veterans and underserved communities. She is proud to support Honorbound’s mission with a client-focused, strategic approach to every matter.

As Justin’s spouse, she saw first hand how the military affected Justin’s health. While Justin was working on his medical retirement, she was constantly peppering him with questions to understand the IDES process and what to expect in the end. Shannon has over a decade of practice improving user experiences at financial services companies and is committed to providing our clients with an excellent experience from start to finish.
